Penny Layman is professional, honest, and knowledgeable. She knew every property available in the Nicoya Peninsula and showed us everything in our price range.

I can't say enough good things about Penny. There is no MLS in Costa Rica . And there is no "body" that governs the realtors. Anyone can sell real estate in Costa Rica . So finding some one who has integrity and knows the market is difficult.

We are grateful we found Penny. We have bought 2 properties through her and have recommended her to family and friends who have also been happy with the service she has provided.

Initially, the first real estate agent I spoke to at the hotel was not helpful, nor did he take me seriously because I look very young. i had only been in Costa Rica for two days when I met Penny Layman. My intentions were to go to Tambor, visit a friend who was living there and see a couple of beautiful beaches. I never had any intentions of buying any property in Costa Rica . I had never even been there before and knew NOTHING about it. Yes, this was truly a beautiful place. I was immediately taken by the beauty and tranquility of everything around me.

It was literally by chance, fate, or destiny that on the third day , my friend and I just stopped by so she could introduce me to Penny. And while I was sitting in Penny’s office taking in the cool air of her A/C thinking, boy I am lucky I’m sitting in a place with A/C, I was just lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. I deserve this, right? You know, PURA VIDA! Tambor was an unbelievably tranquil place. I had found a place I could be, where I could make an investment and it would benefit my whole family’s well being.

I immediately called my daughter and made arrangements for her to come and see what I was going to buy and why? She was convinced that she would be spending a lot of vacations in Costa Rica and we immediately made arrangements for more family to come. The house made of wood on the boulevard is just perfect!!!

Penny’s knowledge of the area and current trend of the Costa Rica real estate market convinced me that this was the right thing for me to do. Penny guided me through the purchasing process with ease. Buying property in Costa Rica can be tricky and I knew nothing about it.

By listening to Penny’s voice of professionalism and honesty, I eased on through the process, Penny by my side. Because of Penny, and my friend who introduced us, of course, my whole life has changed. Most of my family and most of my friends have visited Costa Rica in the last three years. It is only the beginning and each time has truly been an adventure for US ALL!!! I could NOT have done it without Penny. I am truly grateful to her. Thank you Penny!
