Playa Coyote I recently had the opportunity to spend some time over in Playa Coyote and San Miguel area on the
This area has been a well kept secret! The roads are very well maintained, actually some of the best I have seen in recent days. There are quaint little restaurants and bars on the beach and mountain side with spectacular ocean views. You have your choice of a few small hotels directly off the beach that offer clean rooms and great prices. You can buy fresh fish from the local fisherman, which by the way, I bought a kilo, which is over 2 pounds, of jumbo shrimp for under 5000 colones or $10 bucks, I couldn’t believe it and they deliver to your door! It is the same with fruits and veggies, a truck comes by your front door and you can buy just about anything you want for a fraction of the price you pay in the city. Property values are still very reasonable. You can buy what is considered second row, off the beach, ocean view lots starting for as little as $45,000 US or with a small home for $120,000. There are a few beachfront properties available with concessions for $248,000 or without a concession for $135,000. If you are interested in larger parcels or a farm, you can find good deals with ocean views starting at $160,000. With lower prices of course comes the lack of infrastructure but a 30 to 40 minute drive you have gas stations, banks, grocery stores, hardware stores, doctors, veterinarian and just about anything else you could want or need. For those who prefer to fly, you can access the area by local Sansa or Nature Air flights daily to and from
So if you are looking for a little piece of paradise at a price you can afford, but thought the ship had already sailed, give me a call 506-359-2291 or email me penny@pjlproperties.com and I will be happy to assist you and show you that paradise does still exist in Costa Rica! |
